Non !

Ignace Reiss assassinated by Stalin

A Tragic Lesson
(September 1937)
In the death of Ignace Reiss there is an element of great tragedy.
By breaking with the Comintern and the G.P.U. Reiss gave proof of his courage as a revolutionist. He knew better than anybody else the danger that threatened his transfer of allegiance from the camp of the Thermidorian hellhounds to the camp of revolution. Reiss’s conduct could have been dictated only by high ideological considerations, and thereby alone he has earned (...) -

Trotsky’s Place In History
18 January 2022Trotsky’s Place In History, By C.L.R. James
THE bourgeoisie, perforce lacking historical method and suborning all aspects of life to the maintenance of power, has not only confused the proletariat but has confused itself in the estimation of what constitutes greatness in contemporary men. Woodrow Wilson, Poincaré, Stanley Baldwin and similar mediocrities have all been crowned with the laurel, not excluding Nicholas Murray Butler, on the score presumably that he had dined often with the (...) -

Marxism and Science

Engels, Introduction, Dialectics of Nature, 1883 :
MODERN natural science, which alone has achieved an all-round systematic and scientific development, as contrasted with the brilliant natural-philosophical intuitions of antiquity and the extremely important but sporadic discoveries of the Arabs, which for the most part vanished without results - this modern natural science dates, like all more recent history, from that mighty epoch which we Germans term the (...) -
1922-1923 : Last struggle of Lenin against the bureaucracy and the bourgeoisie - Dernier combat de Lénine contre la bureaucratie et la bourgeoisie
19 June 2011, by Robert ParisLast works of Lenin : against the bureaucracy
In one of his last articles, Better Fewer But Better, Lenin wrote:
"Our state apparatus is so deplorable, not to say wretched, that we must first think very carefully how to combat its defects, bearing in mind that these defects are rooted in the past, which, although it has been overthrown, has not yet been overcome, not yet reached the stage of a culture that has receded into the past."
The October revolution had overthrown the old (...) -
