We live in a time when the entire world is dominated by a small number of countries, from the USA to Europe, from Japan to Russia, from China to Canada, including India and England—countries called imperialist, not because they are more evil than others, but because they concentrate almost all capital and weapons of war in their hands. Many nations are oppressed by imperialism, through economic and financial means as well as through direct warfare. Of course, other states are also enemies of the proletariat and the working people, but they are far less powerful and decisive. It must also be said that the proletariat is large in the imperialist countries and is the only one capable of breaking the chain of imperialist oppression, even if, in these countries, imperialism has fostered a working-class aristocracy that provides a foundation for all reformists. The collapse of capitalism will also be the collapse of imperialism and the labor aristocracy, as well as reformist illusions. However, in the meantime, they all retain considerable influence in working-class opinion and continue to deceive the workers. It is essential that the latter be instructed in their task : to overthrow their imperialism entirely and definitively, in particular by disarming the imperialist states. This is a vital task because these states are actively preparing to massacre us en masse in a new imperialist war. One of the worst crimes of reformism and opportunism is to conceal the fact that the imperialist states are our mortal enemies. False democratic anti-imperialism, whether left-wing or pseudo-far-left, denounces the rulers without mentioning that the workers must overthrow the imperialist states and build the state of workers’ councils and committees of the working people.
