  Que signifie l’adage : « Toute philosophie est fille de son temps. »
  En fait, c’est Hegel qui a écrit dans ses « Eléments de Philosophie du Droit » :
  « Chacun est un fils de son temps et donc la philosophie est elle aussi une époque telle qu’elle est appréhendée dans la pensée de ce temps. »
  « Fils de son temps », Hegel a en effet conscience d’être marqué par l’époque de la révolution française qu’il considère comme une révolution universelle :

  On pourrait rajouter que rien n’est plus durable que la structure fondée sur l’éphémère rien n’est plus ordonné que l’organisation du chaos, rien plus déterminé que la loi qui se fonde sur l’agitation apparemment indéterminée, rien de matériel qui ne soit fondé sur le vide, par de liens matériels sans la lumière…
